Accessibility Statement for MATLAB - Q1 2024

MathWorks is committed to improving the accessibility of its software products for users with disabilities to conform with WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA.

Given the advances in accessibility for the web, we are focusing first on increasing the accessibility of MATLAB^® Online™.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. MATLAB Online is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the application do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. March 2022	Color and Contrast	Changing the colors of the MATLAB desktop by selecting a dark or light theme. New themes have improved contrast.
September 2023	Color and Contrast	Creating plots with improved clarity, including using the new “dye” color palette that contains better contrast for lines and markers within plots. Refer to the updated accessibility documentation for more details.
March 2024	Keyboard accessibility	Accessing previous commands and output in the Command Window scroll buffer region using the keyboard. Refer to the updated accessibility documentation for more details.
March 2024	Screen Reader accessibility	Using a screen reader to interact with live scripts and functions. Refer to the updated accessibility documentation for more details.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

MATLAB Online is tested with the NVDA screen reader on Windows 11 running MATLAB Online in the Google Chrome™ browser. For the best overall experience, we recommend using NVDA with Google Chrome.
